Marshall County enacts burn ban after brush fire

Marshall County Judge Executive Chyrill Miller enacted a burn ban for the county on Thursday. 

The ban is effective until further notice. 

A brush fire Wednesday near a private road in the county required all 10 Marshall County fire departments and other agencies to fight and caused a road closure while the blaze was extinguished. West Marshall Fire Department Doug Redden tells Local 6 this is only the second or third time all the fire departments in the county have been called to the same scene in that past 15 to 20 years. For more about the fire, click here
