Three suspects in Sikeston, Missouri, robbery arrested

The Sikeston, Missouri, Department of Public Safety said it arrested three people Wednesday in connection with a robbery that took place early Monday morning.

Officers were dispatched for a report of a robbery on Sikes Street at 12:21 a.m. Monday. The DPS says the victim told officers he was walking home from work when he heard a noise behind him. He said he turned to look and saw a group of men — one of them holding a handgun — running up behind him. They robbed him and ran down an alleyway.

On Monday, officers arrested three 17-year-old suspects in connection to the robbery: Corey Kent, of Charleston, and Steven Mays and Kyja Porter, both of Sikeston.
