Fundraiser underway for flagpole honoring fallen state troopers

A Kentucky state trooper and his wife want to make sure Trooper Cameron Ponder and Trooper Eric Chrisman are never forgotten.

Flags for our Fallen Interim Director Debi Dodd is raising money to place a permanent flag pole flying both the American and state trooper flag near the places both troopers died.

"I don’t want people to forget." Dodd said. "You drive down every highway, and there’s crosses, And I love them, don’t get me wrong, but they tend to go away."

Dodd’s goal is to raise $2,500 to buy the flagpoles. She tells us any money they have leftover will go to a memorial fund set up in Ponder’s name.
