New ways to pay for your new iPhone
Cell phone customers used to be forced to sign a two year contract, but that’s not the case anymore. All the major carriers have similar plans now where you can pay a little at a time and upgrade every year.
At AT&T, for instance, Regional Vice President Kristi Turner says "every qualified customer can come in every 12 months every year. So, every year at iPhone launch you’re able to come in and get a new device with no contract and no money down."
Apple is offering a similar plan now when you buy a 6s in their store. So are Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint.
Customers love to get the new device every year, and it’s something folks have been asking for. So now they have the ability to do that.
