Pilot hurt after plane crashes in Hopkins County

WFIE 14 News is reporting that a plane crashed in Hopkins County Tuesday morning.

According to police, the plane crashed around 11:00 a.m. while it was trying to land at an airport in Dawson Springs.

The pilot reported engine problems before crashing.

The plane crashed about a half mile away from the airport.

The pilot was the only one on board and was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
