Eggners Ferry bridge reopens after Wednesday closure

UPDATE: KYTC spokesman Keith Todd said as of around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday the bridge is back open to normal traffic.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the Eggners Ferry Bridge will be closed for about an hour starting around 3 p.m. Wednesday for deck maintenance.

Lanes were restricted for concrete pour work earlier Wednesday, and KYTC spokesman Keith Todd says the concrete pour work is finishing up for the day. Todd said traffic will be halted for an hour for deck maintenance on the existing bridge.
