McCracken County car theft suspect arrested in Ballard County

A West Paducah man wanted for car thefts was arrested.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department was looking for 19-year-old Jacob L. Stringer.

Stringer is accused of stealing a 1998 Ford Explorer from a home on Blandville Road in western McCracken County.

The SUV was found the day after it was stolen abandoned in the wildlife management area near the McCracken County-Ballard County line.

Stringer was also wanted for a different vehicle theft on Old Mayfield Road. A 1996 Chevrolet truck was stolen and found later in the day abandoned near a business on Paducah’s south side.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department say Stringer was arrested in Ballard County Thursday night.

He was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
