Maxine Jones, missing since Sunday, found

A Calloway County woman who has been missing since Sunday was found in Nashville and is safe, according to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office. 

81-year-old Maxine Jones was missing since around 9:30 a.m. Sunday, when her family thought she left home for church. The sheriff’s department said EMTs are on the scene in Nashville with Jones. 

Local 6 has learned Jones left the church group in her car and drove to Nashville. A good Samaritan found her and contacted authorities.

She’ll be staying in a hospital in Nashville for the time being. Her family is en route.
