Suspect in Waffle House robbery arrested

Less than four hours after an image from a surveillance video of a man who allegedly robbed a local Waffle House was released, Paducah police say they’ve made an arrest.

The robbery happened early Monday morning.

Police arrested 22-year-old Jamaal Winston of Paducah at 1:55 p.m. Tuesday at his home after receiving a tip on the photo released at 10 a.m. Police say they found clothes that matched those seen in the surveillance image in Winston’s home.

The police department says Winston went to the Wal-Mart on Irvin Cobb Drive and stole a BB gun, then went to the Waffle House and committed the robbery.

Winston was jailed in McCracken County Regional Jail. He has been charged with second degree robbery and tampering with physical evidence.
