Fort Campbell soldier killed during training exercise

A Fort Campbell soldier died Tuesday after he was shot during a training exercise.

A Spokesman tells WSMV the soldier died before 10:30 a.m. at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital. The soldier has not yet been identified. No other soldiers were injured. The death is currently under investigation.

The Associated Press reports the soldier’s name is being withheld because next of kin haven’t been notified.
