Semi crash blocking traffic on Highway 51 in Tennessee

A portion of Highway 51 between Union City and Dyersburg, Tennessee is closed due to a semi crash.

Obion County Sheriff’s Dispatch says the semi is on its side.

The southbound lanes are closed starting at the Trimble exit.

Dispatchers say traffic is backed up in the area and urge drivers to avoid the area if possible.

No word on what caused the crash.

There are no injuries reported at this time.
