More than 1,800 bows given out to benefit law enforcement

Folks in the Local 6 area helped raise more than $1,800 for local officers by donating when they accepted blue ribbons from a florist in Marion, Kentucky.

Teena York with Louise’s Flowers says the shop made 1,820 bows and raised $1,896.81. We previously told you about York’s effort to support local law enforcement on Sept. 28.

The flower shop owner tells Local 6 that local troopers have been overwhelmed by the show of support.

Louise’s Flowers still has ribbons available for those who want them.

A prayer vigil for Trooper Cameron Ponder will be held at Marion City Hall starting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8.
