Teen sustains minor injuries in McCracken County rollover wreck

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department says a Melber teen sustained minor injuries as a result of a rollover wreck on Friday.

Deputies and EMS responded around 4:07 p.m. to the report of a single-vehicle wreck in the 7500 block of Clinton Road. Driver 18-year-old Zachary Hardman, of Melber, was able to climb out of his pickup truck before deputies arrived. The sheriff’s department says complained of only minor injuries.

The sheriff’s department says Hardman was headed northbound on Clinton Road and was leaving a curve when he realized his truck was across the center line of the road. When he tried to correct, the truck lost traction and slide off the roadway. It turned over and came to rest on its roof against a tree. The sheriff’s department notes that the roadway was damp at the time of the wreck because of a recent rain shower.

Hardman was taken to Lourdes hospital in Paducah.
