Police chase ends when suspect’s truck hits tree
A police chase in McCracken County ended when the suspect’s pickup truck hit a tree.
The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department says around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday deputies had stopped a pickup truck that had been traveling on Yarbro Lane in the wrong lane.
A deputy tried to speak to the driver, but the driver put the truck in gear and took off with the deputy partially in the truck. The deputy was able to get out of the way and was not hurt.
Officers chased the pickup truck onto Old Mayfield Road. During the chase, the truck ran off the road several times.
At some curves in the 6200 block of Old Mayfield Road, the truck slide off the road and hit a tree.
37-year-old Jason Langdon of Grand Rivers was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for moderate injuries.
He has been charged with careless driving, failure to or give proper signal, wanton endangerment, fleeing or evading police, criminal mischief, no insurance, speeding, and possession of marijuana.
