Students present ideas to fix Asian carp problem
Third graders at a local elementary school presented their ideas to help with an invasive species on Friday.
The students from Central Elementary in Marshall County teamed up with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife to work on a solution to the Asian carp problem in the state.
The students first learned about the problem during a field trip to Barkley Dam.
Solutions ranged from using mechanical sharks to eat the fish to grabbing them out of the water with a giant hand.
