Eastbound lane of I-24 Ohio River Bridge closed starting Monday

The Illinois Department of Transportation would like to alert motorists traveling I-24 Ohio River Bridge between Metropolis, IL and Paducah, KY of an upcoming lane reduction.

Beginning Monday, October 19th, 2015, the right lane of eastbound I-24 Ohio River Bridge from Metropolis, IL to Paducah, KY will be closed.  This lane reduction is necessary to facilitate installation of new bearings on the bridge structure.  The lane restriction is expected to be lifted by November 16, 2015.

IDOT is asking drivers to slow down and use extreme caution while traveling through this work zone. Workers will be present underneath bridge deck.
