Local woman found guilty of child abuse charge

UPDATE Oct. 20: A woman was found guilty of a child abuse charge in McCracken County on Tuesday.

Janine Priddy was found guilty of third degree criminal abuse. She was originally charged with first degree criminal abuse.

ORIGINAL STORY Oct. 19: A trial is underway in McCracken County for a woman accused of abusing her granddaughter.

Paducah police charged Janine Priddy with first degree criminal abuse of a child age 12 or under in October of last year.

Officers say they arrested Priddy after the Department of Community Based Services found the child malnourished and dehydrated. The trial is expected to last Monday and Tuesday.
