Watkins considering running for Congress

Kentucky state Rep. Gerald Watkins, who represents District 3, has announced he’s considering running for U.S. Congress next year. 

In Tuesday’s announcement, Watkins said he has "encouraged by many people to consider running for Congress next year."

Watkins, a Democrat, currently serves as Co-Chairman of the Energy Subcommittee and Vice-Chairman of the Education Committee, as well as Vice-Chairman of the Tourism Development and Energy Committees.
