Jobless rate down in over 100 Kentucky counties

Unemployment rates fell in 112 Kentucky counties between September 2014 and September of this year, rose in six counties and stayed the same in two counties, according to the Kentucky Office of Employment and Training.

The rate is 5.7 in Ballard County. Three hundred jobs will be lost in that county when Verso closes Nov. 1.

The rate in Fulton County is 6.4 percent.

In Graves County, it’s 5.3 percent.

In McCracken County, it’s 4.9 percent.
