One of TBI’s Most Wanted people arrested in Knoxville

Knoxville Police arrested William Henry Leonard overnight Thursday just hours after the TBI added him to their Top Ten Most Wanted List. Police say they found Leonard on Townview Drive in Knoxville.

Police say Leonard entered an apartment and demanded money from a male occupant. Then he allegedly grabbed 16-year-old Harlea Hunter Webster by the arm, threatened her with a gun and forced her to leave with him. Police found Webster with Leonard. Webster was not injured.

Leonard is charged with especially aggravated kidnapping, armed robbery, aggravated burglary and felony use of a weapon during the commission of a kidnapping. Leonard is in the Knox County Jail.
