Coroner: Teen dies after truck runs through intersection, hitting house

The Franklin County, Illinois coroner tells Local 6 a 17 year-old boy died in a car crash late Saturday night.

Marty Leffler says a pick-up truck ran through an intersection, hitting a home at the intersection of Bessie Road and Akin Blacktop Road in Benton before flipping.  Leffler says four people under the age of 21 were in the truck and alcohol was found at the scene.

Isaiah Snowden, 17, died at the scene.  The other three were taken to local hospitals.  Their names and conditions have not been released. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department is leading the investigation.
