Lane restriction on Shawneetown bridge for electrical work

Traffic will be reduced to one lane on the KY 56 Ohio River "Shawneetown" Bridge on Wednesday.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says it needs the lane closure so that electrical work can be done on the navigational light system.

The lane restriction should start around 12:30 p.m. and be in place for about two hours.

Traffic will be controlled by flaggers.

The Shawneetown Bridge connects Morganfield, Kentucky with Shawneetown, Illinois across the Ohio River.
