Missouri man charged with murder in overnight shooting

A Wardell, Missouri man has been charged with the murder of another Wardell man.

The Pemiscot County Sheriff’s Office says 46-year-old Russell Gray Junior was shot in front of his home at 202 Back Street around 6:00 p.m. Thursday.

Gray was pronounced dead at a Hayti hospital.

51-year-old Paul Wayne Rudd, also of Wardell, is accused of shooting Gray.

He was arrested and charged with murder and armed criminal action.

Rudd will appear in court on Monday for arraignment.

He is being held in the Pemiscot County Jail with no bond.
