Mother and boyfriend arrested after 19 month old was found with bruises and bite marks

A mother and her boyfriend have been arrested and charged with child abuse.

The Weakley County Sheriff’s Department say on Thursday deputies went to a home on Seminary Road near McKenzie on reports of child endangerment.

At the home, they found a 19 month old child with numerous bruises on her face, hands, back and throat. She also had bite marks on her arm.

The mother, 22-year-old Katlinn Morgana Beth Huston, and her boyfriend, 23-year-old Austin Eligiah King, were both arrested and charged with felony child abuse.

Deputies also found drug paraphernalia in the home in the form of hypodermic needles and tin foil used to smoke methamphetamine. Hair follicle samples from the child will be tested and future charges could be brought depend on the results of those tests.
