Paducah man dies from injuries sustained in golf cart accident

A Paducah man passed away from injuries he received in a golf car accident last week.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department says they were called to the 2500 block of Husbands Road on Friday on reports of an accident involving a golf cart.

82-year-old Paul McFall told deputies that he was attempting to move his golf cart closer to the road and was unable to move his foot off the gas pedal.

The golf cart hit 68-year-old Brenda McFall, who was in the driveway, and continued across the road.

The golf car then hit a ditch and Paul was ejected through the open windshield.

Both Paul and Brenda were taken to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Later, Paul was transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He passed away at the hospital on Monday.
