Neal sworn in as Marshall County judge executive
Kevin Neal was sworn in as Marshall County’s new judge executive Wednesday night by District Judge Jack Telle.
After winning Tuesday night’s election, Neal succeeds Mike Miller — who served for 40 years — and his wife, Chyrill Miller —who took over as an interim judge-executive after her husband’s death.
Neal says his first order of business as judge executive is to get to know his colleagues.
"I know in the military and law enforcement, if I had a leader that was in charge and I’d never met him, at some point I have to get out there and make myself available to employees," Neal said.
Neal says he will also start looking for a new deputy county judge executive.
Melonie Chambers announced her retirement after losing the judge executive race against Neal.
