Work to begin on new bridge in Calloway County

Construction will begin on a new bridge near Hazel, Kentucky.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says it is starting the construction of a new bridge over McCullough Fork Creek.

The new bridge will be along KY 893/State Line Road and is about four miles east of the US 641 intersection in Hazel.

The road will be open during construction as the bridge is being built off an existing right of way.

The bridge is expected to be completed around January 1, 2016.
