Flights from Paducah to Chicago to continue for the next two years

An airline that provides service from Paducah to Chicago has signed a new two-year contract.

Barkley Regional Airport announced that SkyWest Airlines will continue to provide flights through January 31, 2018.

SkyWest has been providing the service since 2010. The current contract was set to expire on January 31, 2016.

The contract comes as part of the Department of Transportation’s Essential Air Service Program, which subsidizes airlines to provide services to smaller communities.
