Morganfield man dies after being pinned under mobile home

Kentucky State Police are investigating the death of a Morganfield man.

Tuesday afternoon, troopers were called to a mobile home on Tirey Lane in Mortons Gap on reports that a man was pinned underneath the mobile home.

63-year-old James Roberts was freed and taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

According to the preliminary investigation, Roberts was partially under the mobile home and was setting a pier of blocks to stabilize the mobile home when it fell on him.

An autopsy is set for Wednesday.
