What’s Going Around: respiratory infection

Many of you suffering with sore throats and condition this week.

Rhonda Darnell at Marshall County Family Medical says a respiratory infection with congestion, cough and soft throat is going around.

She says drink plenty of fluids to keep secretions loose…and if you don’t get better in a few days see your doctor.
Dr. Brian Harrison in Benton, Illinois, also reports upper respiratory infections and says a stomach virus is also making the rounds.

Nurse practitioner Heather Leath at Baptist Prime Care adds pneumonia and strep throat to the list.

And Jennifer Brown at four rivers internal medicine says they’re treating some flu cases, strep throat and hand foot and mouth disease. symptoms of the latter include sores in the mouth and on the hands and feet.
