Escaped federal prison inmate captured

The inmate who escaped from the Federal Prison Camp in Marion, Illinois was captured.

According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, 30-year-old Jeffrey Roetzel walked away from the prison on Sunday. 

Aubray Bailey, the Executive Assistant & Camp Administrator at the United States Penitentiary Marion, confirmed that Roetzel was captured on Thursday.

The Federal Prison Camp is a minimum security prison that houses approximately 320 inmates.
