Six things to know – 11/12/15

Here are six things to know for today.

If you take Interstate 57 on your way to work this morning, traffic will be moving slower than usual. The Illinois Department of Transportation will have lane reductions near mile marker  58 in Williamson County. The site is expected to reopen at 9:00 a.m.

Construction on the replica of Noah’s Ark in Grant County, Kentucky is ahead of schedule. Answers in Genesis plans to announce when it will open for business this morning. A news conference at the park is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.

The investigation continues today into what caused a plane to crash in Akron, Ohio killing 9 people. Investigators are still looking through the wreckage, aircraft records, and weather information.

Most of the Chipotle restaurants in Washington and Oregon will be back open today. 43 Chipotle locations were shut down last week because of an e-coli outbreak. Health officials still are not sure what caused the outbreak.

Captain Florent Groberg will receive our military’s highest honor today. President Obama will present him with the Medal of Honor at a ceremony this morning. Groberg is being honored for putting himself between his men and a suicide bomber in 2012.

Wal-Mart wants to see you get started on your Black Friday shopping early this year. For the first time, the retail giant will have most of their Black Friday deals available online at 12:01 a.m. Thanksgiving morning. Stores will open their doors at 6:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving day.
