Portion of I-24 in Tennessee to be closed over the weekend for bridge demolition

A short section of Interstate 24 eastbound will be closed to traffic over the weekend in Tennessee.

Starting at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 13, eastbound I-24 will be closed at the State Route 237/Rossview Road bridge in Montgomery County.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation says it needs the closure to demolish the old overpass bridges.

Eastbound traffic will be detoured off at Exit 8 and back on using the exit and entrance ramps.

Drivers are encouraged to use alternative routes if possible.

The closure will be in place until 5:00 a.m. Monday, November 16.
