Study on traffic signal in downtown Sturgis to begin this week
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is looking to possibly remove a traffic signal from an intersection in Sturgis, Kentucky.
Starting on Friday, the traffic signal at the intersection of KY 109/5th Street and Adams Street will be placed in flashing mode.
That will allow engineers to study the traffic flow at the intersection and determine if a traffic signal is needed.
Signs will be put up near the intersections to warn drivers of the changes.
The study is expected to take 60 to 90 days.
