Local priest remembers marrying couple, baptizing children months before their deaths

Kentucky State troopers say the bodies of Bulmaro Arellano, Marisol Hernandez and their two children were found inside their Calloway County home Tuesday night. Police are investigating the fire as arson, and they say Hernandez had been shot at least one time.

Their family tells us now there are only photos and stories to remember them by, many of those made on the day the couple said "I do."

Arellano and Hernandez got married in July at St. Leo Catholic Church in Murray.

Father Brandon Williams says the chapel was overflowing with people, with at least 300 in attendance.

After the ceremony, the couple’s two children were baptized.

Williams says when he found out about their deaths, he was shocked.

"Yesterday was not a very good day, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels that way because this is still sinking in: what really happened here and how terrible of a situation it has been," says Williams.

Autopsies on all four bodies were completed on Thursday in Louisville, but Calloway County Coroner Rick Harris says preliminary results are not ready to be released.
