ISP: 5 year-old dies in rollover crash

Illinois State Police is investigating a deadly crash in Saline County that killed a 5 year-old boy Saturday night.

Troopers say Sarah Schell, 35, of New Burnside, Illinois, was driving southbound on US Route 45, just south of Alexander Road, when she left the road.  Her Kia Soul hit a concrete culvert and overturned.  William Schell, 41, was a front seat passenger.  He was not wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected.

Ms. Schell and a 3 year-old girl were taken to a local hospital.  Mr. Schell was taken to a hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

A 5 year-old boy died at the scene.  Charges may be filed, pending the investigation.
