Governor presents $1.5 million for Paducah Riverfront Redevelopment Project
Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear ceremonially presented $1.5 million in state funding for Paducah’s Riverfront Development Project Monday.
Beshear’s office says the funding will help with a project phase that includes completion of a land mass in the river and construction of a gangway. It’s part of a larger plan aiming transform the riverfront with a public park and landscaping, plazas and a pavilion, parking and cultural amenities.
“The funding being presented today represents an investment in a vision,” said Beshear, who presented Paducah Mayor Gayle Kaler with a ceremonial check to the city for $1,525,000.
