Thanksgiving meals donated to 135 local families

Hundreds of families planning to go without food this Thanksgiving now have a turkey to put on the table.

Bags of Hope Ministry in Hardin, Kentucky, gave away Thanksgiving feasts to 135 families.

Michael Davis stopped by to pick up a meal for a family of six from New Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

"They were a family that we really had a heart beat for and we felt like we really wanted to help," says Davis. "And, when they called, it was a blessing to us to step out and help."

Youth groups from around the county helped collect 2,500 cans of food to help feed the needy.
