Annual Christmas parade in Paducah taking different route this year

The annual Christmas parade in Paducah will take a slightly different route this year due to a building demolition project.

The City of Paducah says the parade will start as normal at 14th and Broadway and travel down Broadway until it hits 7th Street.

The parade will turn left at 7th and then a right onto Jefferson Street. The parade will follow Jefferson down to 2nd Street where it will end.

The city says it needs to detour the parade due to a building demolition project at 5th and Broadway.

The parade will be held on Saturday, December 5th and will begin at 5:00 p.m.

The streets along the parade route will close at 4:00 p.m.

The theme this year is "Christmas in the U.S.A. – A red, white, and blue Christmas."
