Local church provides Thanksgiving meals

Church members from Marshall County United Methodist Church are making sure families have food for Thanksgiving. They spent their Sunday afternoon boxing 100 Thanksgiving meals for people in their community. This is their 13th year preparing the meals.

Local Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops also helped in collecting donations. Coordinator Jenny Darnall says this is the youth group’s largest mission work for the year.

Each box is filled with your traditional Thanksgiving meal, including turkey and the sides. The meals were then given to individuals or families for free Sunday evening.
