Man found deceased in Pembroke home identified

The Christian County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim found at a home on South Main Street in Pembroke.

59-year-old Calvin Lee Phillips was found in the home on Thursday, November 19.

Police went to the home after finding a burned vehicle with two bodies inside it just outside Pembroke.

The vehicle was registered to the address at the home.

An autopsy found that Phillips died from several gunshot wounds to his upper body.

The victims in the car have yet to be identified due to the damage done to their bodies by the fire.

DNA tests will be performed in the next few weeks.

An investigation is ongoing.
