Paducah woman charged with assaulting son and mother

A Paducah woman was arrested and charged with assaulting her son and her mother.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Department says they were called to a home in the 4300 block of Husbands Road around 5:30 pm. Wednesday on reports of a domestic disturbance.

Deputies say that 31-year-old Nicole Dobbs had assaulted her juvenile son and her mother. Both had visible injuries from the assault.

Deputies also said they saw several firearms in the home and after arresting Dobbs, found out that she was a convicted felon.

A search warrant was granted and deputies were able to seize 6 long guns and a handgun from the home.

Dobbs was arrested and charged with 2 counts of assault in the 4th degree, 6 counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and a bench warrant for probation violation.

She was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
