At least two injured in Anderson County wreck, officer-involved shooting
A high speed chase in northern Kentucky this morning ended in police shooting the driver and left a pastor who was on the way to work in the hospital.
Officers say it happened along Ballard Road in Anderson County around 9 a.m. and involved a Lawrenceburg police officer.
People living near the scene say it appeared that police were chasing a red truck. That truck then crashed head-on into a green vehicle. They say they heard several gunshots, and after that the driver of the red truck was hit and taken to the hospital.
The pastor, 79-year-old Jimmy Desponett was in that green car. He was on his way to work when the wreck happened. He was flown to University of Kentucky Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
