Update: Missing Carbondale woman found safe

SATURDAY NIGHT UPDATE: Carbondale police say Hughes was found Saturday with a family member in Indiana. 


The Carbondale Police Department says it’s conducting a missing person investigation to find a woman last seen Thursday afternoon. 

Police say 47-year-old Susan M. Hughes was last seen at about 3:44 p.m. Thursday walking away from a home in the 2500 block of New Era Road in Carbondale.

Hughes is described as standing 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighing about 190 pounds. She was last known to be wearing a green T-shirt and pajama pants.
