Local county judge executive wants to raise pay for correctional officers and troopers
A local county judge executive wants to raise the pay for state prison correctional staff and Kentucky State Police troopers, and he is asking for your help.
Lyon County Judge Executive Wade White says those state employees have had little to no pay increase since 2006.
According to White, troopers are paid the lowest of the average of the 7 boarder states and corrections has a 67% turnover rate.
In order to get support, White has made a video and website with information on the topic.
