Pedestrian hit by vehicle in McCracken County

An 81-year-old man was taken to he hospital by EMS after he was struck by a vehicle while he was walking, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department. 

The sheriff’s department says it happened around 4:37 p.m. on Tuesday.

Deputies say 60-year-old Karen Troutman of Paducah was backing into a driveway on Canon Drive when her vehicle struck 81-year-old Marvin Devers, also of Paducah. Deputies say Troutman didn’t see Devers as she was backing up.

Devers was taken to a local hospital by Mercy Regional EMS for injuries deputies describe as "non-incapacitating." 

The sheriff’s department was assisted at the scene by the Lone Oak Fire Department.
