Keith Griffith’s attorney files motions to change venue, trial date
The first motion is for a change of venue, citing extensive news coverage dating back to January 2014. It asks to move the trial to Bowling Green or Glasgow. The second motion is for a continuance of trial so counsel can have more time to prepare. The motions were filed Wednesday.
McCracken County Commonwealth Attorney Dan Boaz said his office hasn’t responded to the motions yet, but will respond sometime next week. A pretrial conference in the case begins Dec. 21.
