Carlisle County school district warns of possible virus outbreak

SUNDAY UPDATE: There will not be school Monday for the Carlisle County school district.  This was posted to the district’s Facebook page: "Due to the recent outbreak of illness and after close consultation with the health department we have decided to take one more day to allow everyone an opportunity to recover. There will be no school tomorrow, December 14, 2015. Thank you and we hope everyone is feeling better."

SATURDAY NIGHT UPDATE: The Carlisle County School District posted this notice on its Facebook page warning of a possible virus going around the district.  Stay will WPSD as we update this story when we receive more information.

Many students and some staff have become ill with a virus the past few days. If you have a child or are a employee of the school district and have vomiting, diarrhea, or fever, or any other symptoms, please call Cinda at the Carlisle County Health Department at 270-628-5431. You may want to seek medical attention and testing, if symptoms persist. We also need to hear from anyone who attended the basketball games at Marshall County, Carlisle County High School, or Hickman County High Schools this week and now have these symptoms.
