What the Tech: Google Chrome Remote Desktop

Have you ever been somewhere, maybe out of state or at work, and you need something off of your home computer? What do you do?

If you’re using Google’s Chrome browser, your problem is solved with an app for your phone, tablet, and computer. It’s call Chrome’s Remote Desktop which works on both iOS and Android devices. It allows you to control any computer from anywhere.

Here’s how it works: You have to download the app, then search the Google Chrome store for the Chrome desktop remote application. Then you just set up the remote control with the smartphone app and your computer.

When you’re away from your computer, you can open the smartphone app, enter a secret code, and get access to all your programs and applications.

You can control as many computers as you’ve installed the program.

The app is free.
