Here are six things to know for today.

Today is the last day you can sign up for healthcare under the Affordable Care Act and have coverage start on January 1st. The penalty for not having coverage is now $695 or 2.5% of your income, whichever is higher.

We will have a crew in Graves County court today when Tabitha Wheeler is sentenced. She’s the woman who seriously injured Corey Gentry when she crashed a car in 2014 while driving under the influence. A 20 year prison sentence has been recommended.

Today marks one year since the deadly siege in Sydney in which 18 people were held hostage for 16 hours at a popular cafe. Two hostages and the gunman were killed in the incident.

Tonight is the final GOP debate of 2015. Right now, Donald Trump is still the front runner but Senator Ted Cruz is beating Trump in the Iowa polls. You can catch the debate tonight at 7:30 p.m. on CNN.

US 60 will be down to one lane this week in western Livingston County. The moving work zone extends from the New Ledbetter Bridge east to the Cumberland River Bridge at Smithland.

You can help families in need this holiday season by bringing canned goods and non-perishable food items to a stuff the truck event. Today from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. you can stop by the Lourdes Medical Pavilion. Tomorrow the truck will be at Baptist Health.
